He has co-authored three books, and has been a popular speaker at Oracle conferences around the world, specializing in topics regarding the database engine and PL/SQL

Michael Hichwa, Vice President, Software Development, Oracle

Michael is a Software Development Vice President and manages database tools and data access development for Oracle. In addition to managing data access technologies he has introduced many new Oracle products including Oracle APEX, SQL Developer, Oracle REST Data Services and most recently the Oracle Database Schema Cloud Service.

As Director of Product Management for Oracle Fusion Middleware Management and Cloud Solution, Frances Zhao-Perez is responsible for developing and delivering the products in a few major areas, including Oracle Fusion Middleware SOA management, IdM management, etc, Middleware as a Service Private Cloud, Oracle Hybrid Cloud, Bringing PaaS services into Oracle Cloud Machine, Oracle Maximum Available Architecture and Cloud DR.

James Kao is a Senior Director of Product Management within the Oracle Management Cloud team, focused on performance monitoring for enterprise applications. Prior to Oracle, he worked on Java EE performance management and development at ClearApp and The Middleware Company.


Digital

Duncan Mills, Senior Director, Product Management, Development Tools, Oracle & Chris Tonas, Vice President, Mobility & Development Tools, Oracle

Duncan Mills is senior director and architect within the Oracle Development Tools division and moonlights as a member of the Hudson project at Eclipse. He has been working with Oracle technology for almost 30 years and as a result retains a depressingly large catalogue of facts about some really obscure Oracle products. Nowadays though, Duncan helps Oracles own development groups with architecture, technology selection and troubleshooting, and can often be found holding the hand of bewildered development teams from new acquisitions.

Chris Tonas is Vice President at Oracle, with 25 years of industry experience focused on innovative products and platforms aimed at helping enterprise customers deliver on their solutions.   He is responsible for the multi-channel User Experience and the modern UI design system that has helped transform Oracle into a mobile-first and cloud-first company, and is the basis for Oracle's low-code development platform used internally and externally by customers.  Chris is also heads development for Oracle's Application Development, Content, and Experience Management cloud products.

Markus Flierl is Vice President of Solaris Core Technology Development and Product Management at Oracle. Markus has over 15 years of product development experience, most of which is in systems software development. Under Markus' leadership the Solaris Core Technology team has grown significantly and the charter of Solaris has been substantially expanded. It now includes virtualization, OpenStack cloud orchestration and has become a key building block for a lot of Oracle's Engineered Systems like SuperCluster. Over the last years Oracle Solaris has added a number of key differentiators in security, compliance, life cycle management, performance and Oracle Database and Oracle Java integration.
